DREAM
Hi,
My granny recently appeared to me in a lucid dream, she came over close and showed me her open hands that contained a variety of seeds. Smiling at me, as if this was her answer to all life’s troubles, the dream ended.
She died a few years back now, and was indeed a wise, loving presence in my life. What’s your interpretation?
Thanks so much!
Sioga

Seeds – new thoughts
INTERPRETATION
Hello Sioga,
It looks like it was not only a lucid dream, but also a visitation dream. We featured a visitation dream in our most recent post. Visitation dreams allow us to connect with those who have passed on.
Our parents and grandparents also symbolize Superconscious aspects that are aspects expressing our Highest Self. Hands signify purpose and seeds new thoughts. Your grandma herself (or her symbolizing your Highest Self) appeared in your dream with a message of you having purposeful new thoughts. This might have been a confirmation of your attitudes from a day or two prior, or it might have been guidance regarding your next step. Either way, the dream is directing your attention to having the “why” (i.e. purpose) for what you are doing clearly defined.
APPLICATION
Dreams are an incredible resource. They allow us to connect not only with our subconscious mind, but also with our Highest Self. In dreams we can connect with our loved ones to seek their guidance on matters we’re facing in our lives. Your dream is a prime example of that.
Dreams provide us with invaluable signposts reflecting our current state and content of consciousness. In your dream the signpost is PURPOSE. Purpose is what we retain within ourselves when participating in any activity, our personal benefit no matter what we’re partaking in. Another way of looking at purpose is to ask “who am I becoming?” “What permanent understandings am I building within myself?” Examples of purpose might be: kindness, patience, resilience. When we do not have a clear purpose defined, we oftentimes feel drained or taken from after completing a project or a creative endeavour. Your grandma very clearly wants you to pay attention to having a distinct purpose for your new thoughts, your new creations.
A great way to practice having a clear purpose is to make sure that we have one defined each day. It does not need to be a new one each day, but you need to be aware of who you’re practicing to be i.e. tolerant, loving, flexible etc. Having purpose for what we do brings about a true sense of fulfillment and recycles energies within our bodies. As we build new understandings within ourselves, we bring about more wholeness within ourselves.
May your dreams illuminate the inner you…
